if your starting out and will be using a lot of tubbed gear,use bal white star(waterproof and aesy to use) or ardex 1

Whitestar isn't waterproof, just more water resistant than say Bluestar.
What you would class as the best adhesive would really come down to what application you have in mind.
If I had to choose an adhesive as the best then I'd probably go for Bal Supercover, great gear and can be used in so many applications.

Cheers for the help guys. I think I'll go for BAL.
A salesman in an tile shop tried to sell me Granfix but I'm sure I was told that that stuff was wasn't up to much. It was cheap. but there must be a reason it was so cheap? Yes or no?
