Just a quick one
2 very small partition walls are going up this weekend, after finding out the old one's were fixed badly with 2x2 timber that was splitting badly.

Sorry I think I explained badly, I mean in terms of fixing the uprights and noggins together, I have hardibacker screws to fit the boards!

Easier to screw it together...twin thread screws are easier and quicker to use...
Might also be worth a vapour membrane put up first then the hardi board..

Thanks all, screws it is then!
I have some of that silver backed, foil insulation in a roll... I suppose if I had that between studs and the hardibacker it would act as a vapour barrier.
But yes, dust sheets are cheap - great tip!
