you don't say......august to be precise, but still good news for Mapei in the uk...

Under the present climate thats good news, don't think there'd have trouble getting any staff at the moment though

Unlike BAL I hear. Mapei have increased their sales and offers some-what to help the tiler. BAL have only concentrated on 'things' dealing with getting more tilers on board in the last few months, and it's not worked I hear.

From my experience their change of strategy must be helping, at least in my area. 2 years ago the only place locally was 1 shop in Huddersfield, for some reason they had the Monopoly, suddenly changed and is now available in at least 4 shops in a mile radius, including Yortile LTD, Huddersfield Tile Centre & "CTD & AL Murad" who are right next door to each other, this has increased awareness of the product ( which can only benefit Mapei ) & created a bit of a price war, which can only benefit tilers.
