Unhappy Matt white tiles look pink!

Hello all. Wondered if anyone had this experience and/or got any remedial ideas?Bought some lovely matt white Homebase brick tiles and tiled bathroom with a standard ordinary white BAL grout and they look pink!Yuk! I've tried changing wattage in room but no real difference. Do you reckon a light grey grout might change matters?
Looking forward to hearing from you, after all my hard work and money spent it looks like a Grandma bathroom!

not being funny m8 but i reckon they might be cheap tiles and therefore made cheaply, they have probably scrimped on the glazing when making them.I know exactly what you mean and sometimes you cant notice it in the shop but when they go on the wall you cant miss them. Are they also shading in places?Nothing you can do im afraid..except what you dont want to do.

its because the glaze is thin and the biscuit shows through.
ive done there 6x6 cheap crap loads of times and more often than not they even look different colours from box to box.
it may change when the biscuit dries out.

CTD in Plymouth have an offer on 6x6 tiles that I'm thinking of getting for a customer. £4.84 plus vat for a metre.

Oddly enough Travis Perkins have quoted exactly the same for the same.

Oh bugger, but they cost £30 a metre, I've been had! Think grouting light grey or a beige colour would help un-pink them a bit?

if they were £30 pmt then there may be another problem.
how about putting a picture on here so we can see the problem.

I take it that we are not talking of varying shades here. Just that the overall colour has a pink tint to it ?.
If that is the case then i think that you will have to learn to live with it.
Many years ago when 6" white were all we fixed you would have different makers and one make would have a blue tint while another would look pink along side it.
Is there any other decor in the room that could be reflecting in the tile? that can make a difference.
You could also try changing the bulbs to "Daylight bulbs"
Other than that i cant help anymore.

many years ago at the end of avocado baths we had a new white bath suite fitted and i tiled the room with a top quality 200x200 white tile with a rope yuk border the room, the room looked great, around the bath i thought that it would look better with the tap design etc etc with a ceramic bath kit the qtr quadrant type, after i put this on you could see 3 disticnt colours of white the tiles were blue the bath was pink and the quadrant was yellow, you could not see this untill the 2 whites were put together,i took the quadrant back off and used silicone and it looked fine.
what im gonna suggest may not work but if you introduce a colour lets say blue into the room i think your problem might literally disappear.
your eyes can trick you into making colours look different, and once your brain thinks its pink it will look pink, but if you trick it with another colour it may well just go away.

bumpy whites dont seem to suffer from this problem i guess its because they have to use more glaze.
as for topps cheapos there not that bad there turkish normally yuksak or something like that, but the the bigger there tiles the worse they get for size and flatness.

I had the same recently well known English manufacturer blamed new plaster for pink effect . tiled loose piece of plasterboard (not plastered ) grouted sample board and some tiles were pink. Company in question held up their hands, the tiles were end of kiln run with very little glaze and were not quality checked as they were on sale cheap .

Fortunately it was for an understanding customer who wasnt too concerned as it was one of his rental properties, otherwise I would have ended up the loser as although action to remedy this was promised it never happened.I was due a credit on 15 sq metres but never got it and have not pursued it any further. I just dont buy cheap whites any more from this manufacturer, you only get what you pay for.
