Re: mapei primer G
Doesn't take that long but is quite a thick consistency if you leave it 'neat'

Re: mapei primer G
Normally leave it until its dry, which is depending on temperature 30-45 mins, 2 hours is time wasted, its a hard one !!

Re: mapei primer G
Should leave till mostly dry.
Tip : do priming first on arrival at job,
then sheet up, get tools out of van, set out, have a number 2 and a fag, then a cup of tea : Hey presto walls are ready to tile.
Primer G is primarily designed to combat cementious adhesives reacting with gypsum plaster. You will find that if you are using Mapei tub adhesives that most are self priming, so no need to prime walls.
If the walls are not 100 percent dry then not the end of the world as cementious adhesives will set under water ( & will set on tiles that have just been through wet cutter )

Re: mapei primer G
until it gets tacky, mix with 1part primer to 3 part water...it doesnt take 2 hours to dry like they say on the spec but i think they must mean if its applied neat.
