Fitting plasterboard
Just a quick question. I'm removing tiles from a bathroom with stud walls so will probably have to replace the plasterboard. I've never fitted plasterboard before. Do I use special screws, do I drill the holes first or just screw through the plasterboard into the stud. Any tips and advice will be very welcome.

Re: Fitting plasterboard
25/30mm plasterboard screws, wickes,b&q etc, if you have a screwfix near you they are by far the cheapest. no need for piloting, just go straight in, if you can get yourself a depth limiter (screwfix sell them) it will stop you going right through the board.

Re: Fitting plasterboard
gyproc screws as mark above mentioned, low torque setting on your cordless to stop screws going right through p/board, ideally screw head wants to finish flush with p/board surface without puncturing paper

Use the screws with course threads for wood if you can get them

If you want cheap screws go along to Travis Perkins.
5000 for £18.99, that's less than £2 per box
