Default BAL Ebony Grout (efflorescence free) mixed with GT1

Yesterday I mixed up some BAL Ebony to use with these cheap B&Q tiles my customer bought, fearing the dreaded efflorescence. Today there was none!

The white along the sides is SBR. I prepped the walls with it, then washed the tiles down to avoid it clinging to them.

I am extremely pleased with the result.

I nearly did at one stage, I was close to phoning wetdecs at onepoint and asking him to come and install the former for me.

The only fly in the ointment is that the client chose cheap B&Q porcelein at £6.98 for 6 in a box, and the diagonal cuts do show a bit of the white underneath. You can't see it in the photo but you can see it close up. I tried to brush the grout in, which dealt with a lot of it, then I learned on a small area not to clean it too enthusiastically along these lines.

The BAL grout worked well though. Mind you my hands are still black from doing it!

    Oli

I think it may be something to do with me having the same file in two threads, so I've included this file in this thread.
