ditra adhesive
hi guys, im having a bit of a nightmare today. Im laying "ditra matting" down on top of 3sqm of chipboard.
I went to my usual tile shop i get my adhesives from and they recommended me to use "norcross tile to wood adhesive". They said it was an adhesive made up of rubber. It says on the bag thats its fast flex.Putting this down has begun to be a nightmare,as much so i took the first bit of "ditra"up and thought id come on here for some advice. Is there any adhesive or anything that is much easier to put the matting down with as this rubber based adhesive and me dont get on.Thanks everyone advice appreciated.

Re: ditra adhesive
weber do a version called WF21 similar thing , you get the bag of powder and a bottle of admix this may be easier if you are used to working with weber products,
The other option would be to call the technical help people on back of fastflex as you may be able to use a slow set adhesive with an admix.

Re: ditra adhesive
If you can get ardex AF200, it is designed just for that very job. Otherwise, try ardexflex 7001 or Granfix Ultimateflex.

The AF 200 is a cream dispersion adhesive that you just trowel on. 7001 and Ultimate flex are standard single part water based powder adhesives.
As Dave says, ditra doesn't help with deflection so your floor will need to be solid.

Re: ditra adhesive
you shouldn't use a slow set adhesive on timber fastflex shouldn't be problem on chipboard no deflection unusual on a chipboard floor i would have put 10mm PCI or Duka board down with your 2 part then tiled it whats 5mm between door bars

Good question! Maybe ring Ardex and see who stocks it near to you.
