Adhesive strength
I recently wrote about a 120m floor i'm doing and forgot to mention the staicases are being done aswell. We've had the strings templted and cut and each staircase is to be done with 2 strings each over 2m x 0.5m and 20mm thick limestone. Will a good cement based adhesive be strong enough to hold them up. The stairs are concrete and were cast in the position they are. They are sriously heavy and i don't know what weight traditional cement based adhesives can hold.

Re: Adhesive strength
Thanks guys, yes it is stringers, rises and treads. They are 2 big concrete staircases fixed to the back wall. There has been no mention of nosings so far. The supply said something about getting all the edges polished afterwards but i doubt this will be enough. Doesn't take much to chip these edges.

Re: Adhesive strength
the treads and risers have to be of a constant size so take that into account if the stringers have been templated wouldn't mater to much as you are tiling treads & risers you have 20 mm to play with any good SPF should be ok but if you have to pack any depth of adhesive i would use nanolite also you would need to polish the edges first as it will be very hard to do it when fixed :Pete
