Shaded grout in the
Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
seems a popular thread. My question is why is it only when floors are grouted it happens. I used Mapei ultra in beige and had odd bits here and there. ... -
Shaded grout
seems a popular thread. My question is why is it only when floors are grouted it happens. I used Mapei ultra in beige and had odd bits here and there. Never had the prob on walls. So it has to be too much water in the washdown and sits on top? Its a bugger.

happens more on floors ,,just as you have stated.....one prob can be effloresecnce and the other is when using modifed grouts....to much washing down brings the polymers to the surface causing this whiteness......

It could be if the addy has filled some of joints and it's grinning thru IMO
