    Default Tiling onto plywood

    Hi all

Just started a bathroom on Thursday with mainly plaster walls, but a stud wall the customer has had built is marine ply.

Without thinking I primed the lot with BAP APD which I now realise may have been wrong for the ply.

I am using BAL SPF for the plastered walls - can this be used on the ply as well? BAL powerspec recommends BAL Flex.

    Any advice gratefully received

    cheers

    Kirstie

Kirstie, first of all the plywood should have been tanked, now you have primed with APD it is ready to tank with WP1 kit.
Once done SPF is fine, and microflex grout.....Gaz

Hi kirsty, most customers if you tell them what/why and which they`ll agree to it as they dont want leaks coming through sealings or having to redo again when it fails
