Hi,new build house,no heating on yet but warm enough to tile. just tiled 20sqm floor over the weekend using BAL Rapidset. came back to grout today and the client asked if the adhesive i use creates condensation or moisture in the setting process as the cedar window frames are very damp at the bottom and isnt sure wether its been the scottish rain over the wknd and the window is leaking in somewhere. i said it bonds chemically and creates a reaction when water is added.
am i right in what i said?
what is the difference in terms of ways adhesives set?
i know tubbed stuff is to do with the dispertion of water through the joints and substrate
how does rapid set and single part differ and two part differ?
cheers lads, told the man yous guys would know

Re: info needed
Over the last 31 yeas of tiling i have never heard that one but who knows ?
I woould have thought that while you were working in there over the weekend it could have been your body heat that created condensation more so than drying adhesive.
Interesting either way.

so rapid set is a cementitious powder like single part?
does rapid set contain faster setting glues then?
