Default Which adhesive would you reccomend for tiling on top of old tiles

Hi Gents, I was offered a job the other day but I haven't had chance to go and see it yet as I've had to go back to London. However the customer told me its the front of his shop approx 8m2 straight forward apart from its tiling onto old tiles that have been painted, my thoughts straight away were the paint needs to come of and then check the old tiles are ok and secure. My question is what would be the best adhesive and grout to use as its an outside job and onto old tiles?thanks or your help,

    Lee

Best option here lee is to pull them off.....much quicker than stripping paint then cleaning them and hope they are solid enough to tile too...

Cheers Dave thats what I thought but its whats underneath the tiles! I did suggest that on the phone but he wants to keep costs down! I won't do the job if I don't think the tiles underneath are good enough to hold the new tiles,

    cheers again
