tbh im a time served tiler, times been out a couple of years now.

this is for my own house, ive used porcelain on site before but never had to seal any of them.tested with marker pen and water and they're really porous.

dont have any probs with the tiling or anything.......just want to get the job spot on and all sealed properly.

You only need an inpregnator suitable for porcelain.....lithofin fz is the one i use...

    FZ Protective Impregnator
For fully vitrified ceramic and porcelain tiles. Ready-to-use special impregnation fluid with special oil and grease repellent additives. Lithofin FZ Protective Impregnator creates an oil and water repellent zone, and is especially effective on low absorbancy surfaces. This helps reduce sensitivity to staining and makes stains easier to remove. Surfaces protected with this treatment are less sensitive to dirt and easier to maintain.

It might be pricey...but who wants inferior materials.....do you use cheap tiles and cheap adhesive..?.... so why compromise on what seals them.....

CTD sell it for about £25 a tin..so not that expensive really......the HG range is cheaper but i find them to leave a slightly tacky residue when buffing the excess off...

I've not used the HG one for a while personally, I find the Fila Polished Porcelain sealer better and it hardly affects the finished appearance of the tiles either.
