Which adhesive?
Evening all,
I'm tiling my living room floor, 21m2. I'm going to be ply boarding the whole area and then tiling onto the ply with a flexible adhesive and grout. But which brand would you recommend, and where is the best place to buy it from in the manchester area.
I am hoping for someone to suggest somthing other than BAL single part adhesive as I've already been quoted £255.00 from Topps Tiles! (Ouch!)
Hope someone can help...

Re: Which adhesive?
Are there any fixings in the chipboard flooring at regular intervals along the length/side on the joints........if not then it is floating......

Re: Which adhesive?
I think it's a floating floor then. At work at the moment so would have to check when I get home, but I think its floating.
I'm persuming suspended is better for tiling on?

Re: Which adhesive?
If you do go down the fastflex route ( i wouldn't ) then there has to be virtually no deflection in the floor......but it is still not a miracle answer fastflex for floating floors....

Re: Which adhesive?
Dave is right, it can be done but has to be solid. If there is movement then overboard it with plywood until solid but still use 2 part flexible and allow for adequate expansion...Gaz
