Because I don't get round to the tile shops these days. How much (before VAT) does a decent brand of SBR primer 5 litre go for now?

Tradetiler is thinking of stocking but want to be able to do it for the right price, other wise there is no point.

I,ve seen it in a local builders merchants for £30 for 5 litre, I buy 25 ltrs a throw for £65. A guy I used to work for bought 200 ltr for about a £1 a litre, Buy it that way and fill your own 5ltr containers, Just an idea

CAUTION...make sure it aint PVA or worse at those prices....lol

Paid £32 for 5l at Topps yesterday (after my discount) dunno what the full price was

Thats a good price I can only get BAL Bond SBR for £25 +VAT.

I was give 5ltrs of Everbuild SBR Bond on a job recently. Apparantly it only costs £12. Looks like BAL, smells like BAL, even tastes like BAL!

(although it's Everbuild)

We deal with Everbuild so will try and get a good price from them

ive used this sbr and found it to be good stuff

Thanks, it was good stuff. I can't tell the difference (sorry Gaz), although I appreciate that chemically things can vary greatly. The 1st thing that struck me was how similar it smelt to the BAL bond. In use it seems the same too.

Couple of questions about this...So you use this SBR Primer to prime walls & floors? Do you dilute with water?
Is it also an ad-mix for adhesives & grout ? to increase water resistance & add flexibility?
