Had juust finished 16m2 floor, heating guy comes in to finish his bit off, turns out joiner had screwed through gas and water pipes and made a hash of lifting tiles now have a few areas to re-tile but having a mare removing cement from ply(it has become as one) Any suggestions would be most welcome. Most plywood is made up of thin layers, try and run a stanley knife around affected areas and splice off the top layer, hope this helps.....Gaz

Would be worth a shot but most if it is around edges of room and difficult to splice without getting an edge. but will have a look . Thanks .

i once had a simelar situation, same idea ply subfloor adhesive mess from lifted tiles, job was for a mate. i wanted to be cool and helpful and make him and his wife say " what a good guy" "neil really helped out a lot" "he really worked hard and did a great job" Which was great until the sh?t hit the fan. i felt uncomfy negotiating an hourly rate to fix the f*** up even though it wasn't my fault.
In the end i Just got stuck in with a hammer and a sturdy scraper, applied lots of elbow grease, and did it.he bought an extra box of tile and i bought the extra adhesive. i lost out slightly, but he still thought i was super-tiler.
