what products do you use and what sorta discount do you get if you dont mind me asking ?

CTD will give you upto 34% discount once you use them regulary....but as for products...I tend to use BAL mostly on the adheive and grout side ....Hardi backer boards..( which newcastle now stock)..
I use Ardex k15 or Arditex ( latex ) levellers...
Sealers/cleaners.. i use Lithofin products

etc etc.........

why did mr x at wh tiles try to put me off bal and go for mapei

You can get some good prices on Mapei...maybe it is his main supplier...either way it is a good brand....
