Default tiling over old addy

hi I'm tiling my bathroom tomorrow and have removed most of the old addy but some of it is stuck fast .
do i need to sand this off or can i get away with tiling over it ?
also do ineed to silicone the tiled corner of the shower ?

as long as its solid scrape off any high spots and tile away. always silicone corners in showers as movement normally occurs causing grout to crack
