Default Tiling On Asphalt

I have a kitchen floor to do with ceramic tiles onto asphalt. I am going to use Mapei Flexi adhesive for the floor but was wondering what preperation is needed for asphalt?? I think I have the adhesive correct so what else is required?? Prime floor I assume but will floor also need some abrasion or can I tile direct onto floor once clean and primed?? Currently 2 layers of vinyl flooring down so this is to be removed first and any old glue removed. Any advice gretaly appreciated as always!!

If the vinyl was solid i would be tempted to go over it with the correct prep of course!

yes make sure you get all the loose material removed and then clean with a degreaser and tile using a flexible adhesive.....

Should really use an asphalt primer like Weber iboprim or Ardion 82. Hard asphalt you can even use Neoprene Primer.

If there is lino glue and patches of lino to well stuck you could cover with Arditex Latex levelling compound - smells lovely

Then fix with your SPF adhesive

Remove the yinyl flooring. Warm up the asphalt and cover it with sand - needed for the adhesive grip. Remove all loose sand. Take an adhesive with prooven flexibility e.g. S1 acc. to (BS) EN 12002.
