Default bitumen on floor

Just back from quote. kitchen floor is screeded and had vinyl down which has been removed. But there is dryish bitumen left on screed all over. do i have to put a leveling compound down? I know arditex do a 2 part one thats ok for that. Or would primimg just be ok. floor was done 18 yrs ago. thanks.

You dont have to put a SLC down but I would to leave a nice surface to tile off.
