Default Checking tiles before laying

Been tiling a bathroom this week 24sqm on walls 8sqm on floor for a builder, the wall tiles are ceramic travertine nico and so is the floor, anyway started setting out the floor at 10am got all the boxes open and started, got into the middle of a couple of boxes and the tiles were totally different shade, i mean really different so i rang the supplier and explained the problem, he said that's how the are, no i said these are different shade, he said if i was a proper tiler i should know you should open all the boxes and take a tile out of each box as you lay them....Well i went mad with this guy, and i got in my van with the tiles went to the supplier, when i got there i showed the manager and he couldn't believe the difference in colour and thinks they must have got packed wrong in the factory. The manager got the guy to apologise, gave me two tubs of adhesive free for the inconvenience..Worked my nuts off and got the floor laid and grouted by 5. BEER TIME NOW
