Default priming plywood

just wondering wat others do.
when tiling bathroom floor which is plywood who primes and with wat and who dos'nt prime


no work 2 day so havin a lazy 1

DON'T use PVA. It's not meant for tiling. Just wanted to make that clear.

The tiler should be the one who picks the primer (unless the customer supplies, in which case the tiler needs to approve it), as well as the one who applies it.

I never leave any guarantees if I havn't chosen, or approved, what materials to use.

The primer should be of the same brand as the adhesive, as manufacturers usually design their products in systems.

Read the instructions. If you've chosen a proper brand, the instructions on the adhesive bags/tubs/whatever will tell you what primer to use, on what substrates, and how you're supposed to use it.

Also some adhesive manufactures don't recommend priming ply.........when using there cement based adhesives............ .......

I prime the underside and sides.

This will stop it warping.
