DON'T use PVA. It's not meant for tiling. Just wanted to make that clear.
The
tiler should be the one who picks the primer (unless the customer supplies, in which case the
tiler needs to approve it), as well as the one who applies it.
I never leave any guarantees if I havn't chosen, or approved, what materials to use.
The primer should be of the same brand as the adhesive, as manufacturers usually design their products in systems.
Read the instructions. If you've chosen a proper brand, the instructions on the adhesive bags/tubs/whatever will tell you what primer to use, on what substrates, and how you're supposed to use it.
