Default grout impregnator

i am tiling a kitchen floor in porcelain and the customer has bought white grout and some kind of impregnator to go on the grout to keep it clean. i just need to know if i just go over the grout joints with a small brush with the impregnator and do i give it one or two coats?. also is there anything i should know about when using the impregnator?

thanks

steve

It depends on the make....some can be applied over the tiles and joints within reason and the excess on the tile washed off when dry.....some say try to keep it as near to the joints as poss and wipe excess off as you go...........A small artist type brush is good for sealing joints..........thats why i said follow the instructions........good luck..

Actually a lot of porcelain does not rquire sealing. You always do a test area first to decide if it should be sealed or not.

Spot on kev......the vast majority of porcelain that's needs to to be sealed is the through bodied type and not the harder porcellanato type...or glazed........and the question was about grout sealer as well.........
