| Re: trouble withardex 6001 with underfloor heating | | Hi Julian, welcome to the forums. Would you be good enough to say hi to everyone in the "new members" section and tell us a bit about yourself. Cheers.
I have never used 6001 but it should be fine for the application you mention. What is the substrate and was the heating level increased gradually when it was first switched on after tiling?

#9 | | Guest | Re: trouble withardex 6001 with underfloor heating | | i think sombody turned the heating on before the adhesive cured naturally.
after laying the tiles you should leave the underfloor heating off for around
2 weeks this is why i think the adhesive has crazed due to massive expansion and contraction over a short period of time..... | | |

Looking at the Ardex manual, if the tiles are not directly stuck to the timber, ie there is insulation board or in this case Ditra, then 6001 should have been fine. Otherwise deffo 7001 straight to the tiles.
Would like to see what order the stuff had been laid. If it is as given above I don't think that is correct. The Ditra should have gone over the UFH surely?

| Re: trouble withardex 6001 with underfloor heating | | Just checked the Ditra installation pdf. Quote: Schlüter ®-DITRA is also recommended
for uncoupling of radiant heated floors
consisting of thin electric heating mats.
Schlüter®-DITRA may be installed either
above or below the heating mat. However,
the uncoupling function is more effective
if Schlüter®-DITRA is installed above the
heating mat. | Grumpy
