Default Bal Flexible adhesive

Hi,

I am looking to tile my bathroom with 600mm x 300mm x 9mm porcelain tiles. I have been quoted for Bal rapidset flexible adhesive from the tile supplier at a cost of 35.86 per 20kg bag.

I am not a professional tiler, and therefore will be quite slow, and was worried about the mixture going off before I have used it all (bal website states pot life of 45 mins). I have noticed Bal also do another adhesive called single part flex which appears to be the same, but just not rapid setting with a 5hr pot life? This is also cheaper at £23.77.

Is there any pros/cons of me going for the single part flex?

Thanks
Andy

the single part flex takes 16 hrs to set, rapid flex takes 2 - 3 hrs to set (depending on conditions) whether your using spf or rapid flex once you spread on wall or floor u have 20 mins to apply your tiles before adhesive goes off. The cons of using single part on floor is that you have to wait 16 hrs before u can tread on tiles and grout, the pros are you have a bit more time to adjust the tiles before they set.

my back aches....
