What do you prefer powdered or tub adhesive...and reasons why.

Suppose it depends on the job really. At the mo Im a tub man on wall tiles unless there too bog of course. Havent had that yet like.

I can see the advantages of using powdered though on a wall, quicker drying times etc, no need to go back 2 days later to grout.

But how does the time measure up for mixing and then using etc as powdered only has a short working time cmpared to tubbed.

For those of you that use powdered all the time and I know there are a few, how much do you mix up at a time etc?/

Use both myself as I am still new to the game, but can see the advantages of powder stuff and will in all probability end up using it all the time, eventually.

I mainly use tub adhesive on the walls. But when i am doing floors i prefer to mix my own so you can get it just how you like it.

will be using spf on walls from now on, especially with brickbond patterns so if walls are not quite true i can go up a notch size on trowel. I also find cement adhesives clean up better off wall tiles.

bagged all the way for me.....go with small mixes to start..some rapidsets have longer a bucket life than others..advantages are dries quicker, can be used to flatten the wall/floor, can be applied thicker to even out discrepensies..Mark.

Mainly tubbed for walls and cement for floors, though I keep meaning to try cement for walls but find tubbed far cheaper for me.

Powdered always, just got use to it.
