Hi I am about to lay 20 sq m of travertine floor tiles, which I have just bought. Went to Topps today to get some adhesive - got bowled over when they quoted me £239, needless to say I didn't buy. Noticed that Trade Depot has Buildfix Rapid Set Flexible adhesive from Mapei, but cannot find reference to this particular one on the Mapei web site or a data sheet. Does anyone know if the white is Ok for Travertine going on to a real solid concrete screed floor. Thx.

The only rapid set Mapei you speak of is for quarries and ceramic and only comes in grey, So would'nt suit travertine.
There's Keraquick for natural stone and comes in white

The buildfix is an adhesive that B&Q are selling...I believe it is made by Mapei but have no confirmation of this....

The prices that i have seen are quite expensive really....

Thanks for replies, didn't know B&Q had it, I saw it at Trade Depot for £17 per 20kg bag, I thought that was quite reasonable compared to Topps. What would you advise to use for Travertine in other brands. Don't have to use Trade Depot as its not that convenient for me.
