Default quick question

i am tiling a bathroom on friday and the damaged plaster is being repaired with bonding
am i ok to tile over this with bal white star? one of the repaired areas is about a foot and a half square?
would i have to prime first with acrylic primer

I would always prime plaster, so quick to do and no problems.

If its plaster i do or ply thats the proper way to do it, dont use pva...got one to look at next week a tiler didnt prime the ply and tiles are popping off, he told customer it didnt need it as primer was in the adhesive.

Yeah will be ok to tile on if applied correctly, ensure plaster fully cured before applying the primer and not PVA as Enduro said.

You aren't strictly meant to tile onto bonding as it draws the water out the adhesive too fast. For a foot square though you will probably get away with it but I would make sure that you prime the area well to take out some of the suction. Tell the plasterer next time to use multifinish.
