groute calculation

Hi All

A bit of advice please. Amount of groute needed for 5sq mtrs of 600x 600 x 10 polished porcelaine with Mapei..
Am I right looking at their calculations that for 3mm joints i only need 1 Kg of powder with approx 160ml of water, They are only slim joints but this doesnt look much?

What do you advise.

Check out the Ardex site, they have calculators on there, albeit for their own products but will give you an idea.

Yes it looks that the calcs I took off the mapei website are right. Just it bit worried with such a small amount going off too quickly. I'm a bit of a slow grouter!

Every body is a bit slow when they first start. If it goes off, so be it. Grout is not the most expensive part of the job really, but it can make or break it, so just take your time.

smallest bag you can get should only take 10 15 minute's to grout very few grout joints on a large tile like that special color ?

1 5kg bag is plenty as the guys say.

Confirmed from Germany and hello. My calculation program says also that ~ 1 kg is enough so a 5 kg bag will do. Martin

thanks for help.

done the grouting now. nightmare. grout was thoroughtly mixed but varies from white to beige in grout lines. Was supposed to be beige !!!!
