#2 | | Tilers Forums Admin | Its not a myth.........if you want to fast track the tiling process, you can use floor adhesive to patch the walls with..or use a rapid seting one coat plaster ..these can be tiled on within 24hrs.......the floor adhesive method as soon as its dry........
good luck......... | |

| Not necessarily 4 to 6 weeks - you will be able to tell when the plaster is dry and ready to tile. Heat and a de-humidifier will help. If you don't want to wait for the plaster to dry, then have you got enough spare depth to spot and dab new plastervoard onto the wall over the existing plaster ? You will be able to tile the next day !!! | | |

| Thank you very much for you response Dave.
Can you use the powder floor adhesive for patching 30mm thick, and then utilise ready-mixed waterproof wall adhesive for the wall tiles?
Can you recommend any readily available rapid setting one coat plaster that I can use?
Thanking you in advance.

| Thank you Mr PAT.
I am not sure if I can get plasterboards locally - I am based in the centre of London (Kings X). Another headache would be transporting it from DIY shop via public transport maybe difficult.

#6 | | Tilers Forums Admin | I would use plaster board to take up the bulk of that depth then skim in around it with rapid set or one coat...it is too thick to do in one go with rapid set..would need to be done with more than one go...all builders merchants sell fast set one coat...but if you take up the bulk of the depth with plaster board then it will be a quicker project for you.....
