| Bal Wide joint Grout - AAAAAAAHHHHHHH !!! | | I just finished a 20sm bathroom and i was sold the wrong grout for the bathroom i was doiung, the customer wanted grey grout so i went into topps to get 20kg worth, but me being an idiot didnt look at the bag. they sold me the wide joint grout which was an absolute nighmare to put on, it was sloppy and most of it was on the floor, the tiles were a right mess, and a job which took me 3 hours to do actually took me 7 hours as i spent 2 houyrs cleaning the tiles and the bath and sink and floor at the end, ahhhhhhhh
This is me just ranting cos ive had the worst day ever with the wrong grout, really i should have took it back when i started but i thought well i started it now so ill finish with it..... Mistake
Anyway i got the job done, not happy with the finish though and ill never use that grout anain for walls as i think it made for floors with very wide joints

You should have used Bal microcolour

#5 | | Ex Pro Tiler | when buying grout ,ask specifically for wall or floor....on some occasions I have mixed both dry before mixing with water, this becomes semi-wide joint and is perfect for certain types of joint.....Gaz |

Grumpy[/quote]suffice to say grumps ...the grout must be the same colour and from the same manufacturer, the only difference between BAL ivory wall grout and BAL ivory wide joint grout is how course the sand is....Gaz |
