Smile Tile Adhesive Cleaner???... / Sealing tiles

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me please! I have just tiled my bathroom with mosaic tiles which are a mixture of matt porcelain and natural slate and there is a bit of waterproof adhesive residue on the face of the tiles which has dried on and I need to remove before I grout. I was wondering if it is safe to use something like Cement Away (basically hydroclauric acid) on them or if there is another way of safely removing the adhesive. I was also wondering if I should seal the tiles before I grout them, and if so, what is the best sealant?

Thank you in advance for your help
