floor tile grout

hi all

has anybody ever used bond-it flexable grout?

i heard it was made by palace

as am grouting my kitchen tomorrow and i dont want to use rubbish grout.


also anybody got any opions on the colour i was thinking grey grout as its a
black granite floor (305 x 305mm 3mm spacers) and i thought black might not look right

If you don't want to use Rubbish grout then checkout what brands people use on here by checking the Adhesive Poll.

I'd go for Mapei, BAL and that myself. Never used the Palace gear.

Colourwise I'd go for Grey, I know its boring but it's the one that stays the same colour in high and low traffic areas. White would discolour and Black would fade over time.

Generally Ivory, Cream, Brown, Beige etc can be fine if you pick a good brand but if it's flexible the polymers used in them can whiten the grout as it cures... a problem reported on here somewhere.

So BAL Grey grout I'd be using. Superflex Grey if it's flexible you need.

i assumed i would need flexible as i have underfloor heating

its a concrete floor and i have used 10mm insulation boards then layed the heat mats on top. i used flexible adhesive.

Yes you'll need flexible grout too then.

Ardex-flex every time. Lovely to use, best on the market, IMO.

I'm not too impressed with the palace grout on floors, its really hard to work with as the mixture is not very smooth, avoid

what should i be paying for grout BAL Superflex Grey grout 10kg bag

i would assume it would be about £12 - £13 per 10kg is that about right?

i got bal superflex grey in the end

well i went tops tiles and they wanted £19.99 a bag and would not give me discount as they have done before!
And i thought that was way over priced so i went millingtons and they sell the 10kg bags for £11.17 inc vat which seemed a fair price
