| need help BAL adhesive | | hi all, I've just started tiling my bathroom. Walls are a mixture of Aqua panels and pasterboards, I'm using Bal white star adhesive , tiles are 60 by 30 . I'm using a 10 mm notched trowel , so far its looking pretty good, but I'm a bit concerned after reading about thickness of Bal white star. some parts of adhesive thicker than the 5mm suggested on the forums,
is this going to be a problem , not sure if theres not any areas wheres theres solid beds of adhesive, ? also am i better off using a powder mix instead?
please help

| Re: need help BAL adhesive | | You would be better of using bal single-part white or mosaic-fix powder, dont forget to prime any gypsum plaster with bal APD if using the cement based powders. | | |

| Re: need help BAL adhesive | | Cheers Dave,
It looks like I have a little more work on my hands before the other half is happy!
My brothers given me a bag of Mapei Keraquick, is that suitable.
I've done about a quarter of the way round the room, its my first big tiling job, but my bathroom so I can take my time.
The tiles I've put up so far absolutely rock solid, but doubt has crept in, just dont want them falling off 6 months do the line. | | |
