Default Can I Change The Colour Of Grout?

I have come home to find my beautifully tiled new shower room has been ruined by the "chocolate" grout actually coming out orange! It has been done today and is hideous. The grout needs to be flexible as the walls are timber and obviously waterproof. The shower room has cost a fortune to do so I dont really have much budget left? What is the most straightforward way of changing the grout to a dark brown as I assumed chocolate would be?

Not sure of any easy way myself. Only removal and regrouting would be the obvious answer. Wait for the more experienced guys to sign on they may have some magical method to help you, but I fear the worst.

I have seen stuff that can be painted over the top of grout but it looks s**t, apart from re-grouting as Grumpy said i'm not sure of any other way. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Generally the dark Dark colours are heavy in Dye..............you MAY be able to darken it to choccy brown.......you need to test it first.

I need to do the same thing............from standard Grey to black............But the black grout should be no problem as it very heavy in dye, and stains everything it touches.........including skin and tools

agree with gazza get it out while its still reasonably soft or it will be nightmare to remove if its flexi grout...brush the joints clean and re-grout....mix a very small amount of new grout and dry with a hair dryer to see if its the desired colour..........dave...
