Hi guys.
I have a kitchen floor to tile 10m2 under the carpet there is some old lino tiles stuck hard to the floor there are some areas where the tiles are damp and can be lifted but 90% is just not moving.
what would you recommend to use to tile over this substrate and the subsequent holes left by the old tiles?

Hi Trevor, if damp can lift 10% of the tiles, I'd trying soaking the rest and lifting them...If you tile over them and water somehow gets in under the 90% remaining, they (the lino) and your tiles are going to come loose and you will have a complete retile job on your hands.... | | |

Thanks Dave I have tried this and they are not budging the tiles that are wet were at the bottom of the radiator and where the washing machine was the adjacent tiles as I say will not budge........ |

Warm air gun and scraper as Dave says! If that doesn't work then slit them with a Stanley and pour sealing and coating remover on them and leave it to soak preferably overnight they will come up then
