| Re: Ditra matting | | Hi Dave,
I feel this may be the best way of reducing the depth as the customer does not want to have a step on the threshold, also the cuts round the Ped and toilet would look more acceptable.
if i had to lay 12mm ply and tile depth the cut on the ped ,toilet would be more profound in resorting to looking like the ped & toilet where buried in the tiles if you see what i mean, Just trying to give a more professional job with the Ditra.

| Re: Ditra matting | | The Ditra will not add any strength to the floor as in deflection..it will only help for lateral expansion....i would just use the mapei combo if it is solid and suitable for chipboard.......
good luck..... | |

| Re: Ditra matting | | I personally don't like tiling straight on wooden floors without some sort of sub-floor...have you looked at no-more ply or similar..?.. | |

| Re: Ditra matting | | 1.6m2 shouldn't really have any movement unless there is something seriously wrong with the floor, IMO. I would go straight down with Ardex-flex 7001 if it was me, it will do the job no probs. |
