Default Marmox problem

Question from a DIY'er.

I've just layed a whole load of 10mm Marmox boards. The floor ws levelled first using slc and the boards were set into a flexible adhesive. The problem is the boards were all quite bowed, probably curved up to 3mm from the middle to the edge across the short edge. I would have sent them back but I really need to get on with tiling the floor before my new kitchen is delivered.

Is this normal? I'm woried that there might be some residual flex in the boards if any aren't completed bedded in which would obviously be bad news for my tiles!

Andy

Default Re: Marmox problem

If the boards bowed after installation then they were not bedded properly.....when setting the boards you have to make sure you press from the middle of the boards first or the air gets trapped and the boards springs up.....

Just a small tip but it works best that way......
