Default Mapei vs BAL

Hi all

I trained using BAL but have not yet come across a supplier in my area - Dover, East Kent. I have read a lot of recommendations for Mapei and wondered which of these two products might be most suitable for me as I'm quite slow and fast setting is not ideal for my pace. I have used Unibond Ultra to date and quite happy with that but I don't see anyone else recommending it. I'm thinking of driving over to Tile Giant, Maidstone but your advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Julia

From what I've heard, Mapie adhesives are good but the grout sets quicker than Bal's, but I've never used Mapie for anything other than silicone.

Used standard keraflex on walls good stuff had time to adjust tiles, Only used the white grout liked the speed it went off, Don't put to much on in one go

I am loving Mapei gear, i havent tried it all but the coloured grouts are great. Silicone good too. Floor adhesives are as good as any other i have tried. The Tradeplan latex self leveller is what dreams are made of, the best leveller i have ever used.

The keraflex is excellent and you have lots of working time with it but as said before dont mix up the grout in large batches as it goes off quickly but is great to wash off ..good gear imo.
