| sealing grout. | | Hello chaps. I'm still plodding on with the re-tiling of my kitchen. Tiles are on, just in the middle of the grouting. The tiles are porcelain from topps tiles,so I used a special adhesive. I got a grout from them too. They said I need to seal the grout with a sealant they flogged me. Is this right? DOes the grout need sealing?
Almost done!!

| Re: sealing grout. | | Grout doesn't really need sealing. it can help a bit to keep the grease and dirt off it so it wouldn't hurt. |

| Re: sealing grout. | | Thankyou. I shall see how long it takes to fully dry on my hands again and add a few hours!! I grouted one of my walls 2 days ago and still have the grout under my nails!! Charcoal too, so it looks like I've not washed my hands in weeks!!
Cheers, I shall seal the grout before I put my kitchen stuff back on the worktops.

| Re: sealing grout. | | Hi Andi, yep seal the grout , the bottle is the applicator, have a damp cloth ready to remove sealer from edges of tiles and worktop. The stuff can then go back .......unless your happy to keep moving it around, I guess you are lol.....Gaz | "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" |
