Rake out the grout around tile, then, if you can, start from the centre of the tile with a hammer and bolster to remove the tile and adhesive being very careful when you are hammering near the surrounding tiles. there are other methods but this one works best for me

Watchout with the rake - last time I used one for a small job, I slipped (even though I was being careful) and caused a nice long metal mark over 2 tiles. Took me a while to work out the best way to remove the mark.
I would use a dremmel or look at the fein multi thingy (never used one though)

A re-grout could lead to more work from that customer or friends and recommends....

With a FEIN and tiles that size day and a half to get all that grout out,you can't be quick or you slip and scratch the tiles. With a rake it'll go on for days.
