I've recently been approached by a guy who fits fires/stoves and fireplaces. He's looking for me to fix tiles with him around his fire places. Does anyone else out there do work like this? Can anyone advise me whether I should be looking for a heat resistant adhesive and grout or would a normal flexible underfloor heating type be ok? | ||||||||||

Most of the BAL flexy products state tempratures up to around 100deg C. If stuff is going to get hotter than that around your tiling area I feel it would be a dangerous place to be. i don't think there is a problem really, but I may be wrong. Give the techie guys at BAL, ardex and Mapei a call and see what they say......Then come back and let us know.  | ||
