Default Removing grout

Hi again,
I posted yesterday regarding the best way to remove individual tiles - thanks to those who replied with some useful advice.

Another question now: most of the grout in my bathroom is dirty and cracked and I would like to remove it and regrout. What principle should I follow in this situation: do I need to remove as much of the existing grout as possible, or can I get away with removing the dirty/cracked surface layer? The tiles are 150x150, so I imagine the depth is not great.

Thanks

Default Re: Removing grout

Get as much out as possible mate so you can get as much of the new grout back in, if you only put a thin layer back in it will either crack or some of the old stuff may show through.
