No problem there mate, just wipe dust off the back first with damp cloth before bedding in, and seal before grouting.....gaz

Hello

Just spoken to our huddersfield branch and they advised that bal white star would be ok to use but if these are natural slate he did advise to allow a little extra time drying before grouting.

If they are a natural stone they will need sealing. If you want a wet look try slate seal and if you want to look as they are in the box use stain stop these are both products by Lithofin.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Hi

Oyster is usually very irregular have a good sort through to use best tiles behind cooker if there is one.

If you are using paste then u will benefit from sealing these tiles first. As Marie says Lithofin slate seal is the boy for this job.

Oyster is very hard so can often hold a lot of slate seal on the surface making them sometimes too shinny. Try one and show the customer first would be my advice stating that because all the tiles are different you will not get a uniform finish.

i'l be using lithofin stainstop, before and after grouting,
These tiles have a rough textured feel and look, not ideal for wiping down in a kitchen enviroment, more of a floor tile i would have thought? but the customer has choose and provided the tiles,
