mapei price list

im just about to start using mapei,but i want to compare trade prices around the country as i believe my price list seems excessive.

note latex plus is cheaper to buy 2 x 3kg than 1 x 6 kg
can you put up your trade prices inc vat, no real need to say where you are in the uk.

Are you sure about those Ultracolor prices, they seem arse about face to me.

If they are all correct then I would suggest the white grout price is OK, the grey grout is very cheap and all the others are dear.

Thats just going by CTD East Anglia though.

can you put up a list for me including vat.

Hi Gazza,

Mapei products are manufactured in Birmingham - but as a manufacturer all our trade prices are effectively set by our distributors - and as such are out of our control.

It is therefore difficult to make comparisons as the Prices will vary widly across the country and it often depends on the service the distributor offers and the amount you are prepared to purchase.

If you are any doubt (Dont know where in the UK you are) - give our sales office a call on 0121 508 6970 and they can direct you to distributors and stockists in your area.

my query is really based on prices ive seen on other forums (much cheaper than ive been quoted)
i spoke to my supplier today and he showed me the mapei price book,the prices he is charging are direct from the mapei book.
they only buy maybe 2 pallett a month so this may reflect what he is paying.
my query is he seems to be paying more for his materials than some others are selling to the trade at.
so it seemed he was paying more than others do and therefore so am i.
i have no reason to dispute what he has told or shown me as they are a trustworthy outlet.

once again we have no control over what they actually charge you - in fact price fixing is illegal so we have to leave it to the distributors.

Give the sales girls a call and they can maybe give you a couple of alternatives

i understand you have no control over what he charges, thats why im asking for tilers to post what they pay,i think my supplier is maybe paying a different rate to others and if he is i need to tell him, as he is at a disadvantage,i realise this may be to do with quantities.
he is showing me what he pays and as you know your book also shows the recomended trade price,he is told this is standard pricing unless he buys in huge quantities.

I used to be able to get Ultracolor Plus for around £7 a 5kg bag, for black and chocolate.
