Only thing I am able to compare to is Arditex as that is the only other stuff I have used. Multibase goes to quite a smooth finish but I always have a problem with excess compound dropping back to the surface when I reposition my trowel or feather for another sweep. Leaves behind lumps and ridges sometimes which you then need to shave off when it is almost dry. Think that is a problem with my technique though and not the compound.
I usually apply a second layer when the first is dry but with a wetter mix so it "flows" better.
Costs me just less than £20 a bag. |

| Re: Levelling Compounds..... | | Yeah, I get it for about £20 per bag, but they are 25kg bags (I think). Forgot to say it's a rapid set also, 3 hrs drying time. | Varley |
