Rieveley Ceramics specialises in restoration of heritage tiling on both floors and walls.
Based in North Wales established in 1978 the business started as a manufacturer and then became more involved in restoration projects so by the late 1990's that became the main focus of the business and remains so.
Hundreds of restoration projects have been completed during which time a large amount of expertise has been accumulated, along with the manufacturing knowledge and ability, Rieveley Ceramics is able to carry out all manner of tiling and stone restoration. The work undertaken ranges from an individual tile to large scale restoration, domestic and commercial,
private and public. The nature of our work means the need to restore and conserve to a high standard, whether working in listed buildings or properties of private or public clients the customer can be assured their project will be carried out with the greatest care.
The type of work carried out includes:
Floor Tile Restoration Victorian/Edwardian geometric and encaustic floor tiles, sometimes referred to as Minton floors. Interior halls and floors, exterior paths and verandas. Cleaning, repairs, extensions, or complete renewal, application of sealer and polish to protect and enhance.
Quarry tiles, repairs , cleaning etc of the various types and sizes, red , black, " Belfast" etc.
Mosaic decorative inlays repaired and restored
Terrazzo
Stone tiled floors, slate, marble, limestone etc
Wall tiling restoration. Because of its manufacturing capability Rieveley Ceramics is able to make replica tiling to match existing tiling schemes. Glaze and decorative pattern matching, different shaped, profiled and embossed tiles can be made in order to restore both interior or exterior wall tiling.
Tiled fireplaces are another area of expertise, replacing broken an damaged tiles or carrying out restoration and conservation in situ.
Also bespoke manufacturing can be undertaken to a customers specified design requirement for most types of ceramic tiling.
