I'm looking for a bit of advise. I have fitted wet rooms before using tray formers and i have laid electric underfloor heating before, but never combining the two. Im looking to see what you guys think of my plans.

The existing floor is a timber floor. I plan on putting kingspan insulation between the joists. Then ply over the floor with marine grade ply, finish around the Impey aqua dec tray former with tile backer board. I will then go over the whole floor and tray with a tanking membrane. Finally i will be laying warmup electric underfloor heating matt over the whole area. I will then float over the UFH with tile adhesive. Id usually latex it but don't want to affect the tile former slopes. Im interested to hear how other people do this.

Hi
I normally advise not to fit ufh in the area.
Two reasons, one. Heat too Close to the trap dries ot the trap, causing the drain to smell.
Two depending on the tile, heater drugs out before the shower is cleaned, causing soap scum to dry out on the surface.

I've done similar recently, i tanked the room, then fitted ufh, keep the wires 150 away from the drain
