Hi Folks, ive been asked to soundproof a bathroom ie install resilient bars, double board all walls with gyproc soundbloc sandwiched by 4mm acoustic matting (Rubber). it is esential that a 5mm gap is left right around the perimeter of the plasterboard (not touching roof, walls, or floor) this gap is then filled with acoustic sealant. Take 1 of the walls for example, its 2.2m x 2.2m so ill be fitting 4x35kg boards and 1x25kg matting then tiles at approx 100kg!!! total 265KG in weight hanging from resilient bars. Should i be concerned. i have tried to find info on the weight restrictions of these bars without any luck. does anyone have experience of this.
Thanks.

You could try and contact the supplier of the resilient bar to find out, as there screwed to one edge it may have a small amount of flexibility.
